I have built a complete static website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This website is located in this project folder.
I now want to convert this website into a professional custom WordPress theme.
Important: The current design must remain visually identical, including the styling, responsive behavior, animations, spacing, and interactions.
At the same time, I want the website to be easy to manage from within WordPress. Therefore, text, images, buttons, links, and other relevant content should not be unnecessarily hardcoded.
ACF is installed and may be used for content that logically makes sense to manage through custom fields.
Use native WordPress functionality wherever possible. For recurring content, create Custom Post Types, taxonomies, and ACF field groups where appropriate.
Consider elements such as pages, sermons, events, news, ministries, and team members, but determine the most logical structure yourself based on the existing website.
Do NOT start converting the website yet.
First, analyze the entire existing website and propose a WordPress architecture.
Please explain:
Which existing HTML pages should become WordPress Pages
Which sections should become Custom Post Types
Which ACF fields are needed
Which content would be better managed using the standard WordPress editor
Which templates are needed
Which global components are needed, such as the header, footer, and site settings
Which content should be reusable
Which functionality, if any, would be better placed in a separate plugin
How you will ensure that the existing design is preserved as closely to 1:1 as possible
Show me the complete plan first, then wait for my approval before making any changes.
User Roles
When designing the WordPress architecture, take different administrator and editor roles into account. The Agenda, Sermons, and other recurring content should have their own Custom Post Types and custom capabilities, so I can later give WordPress users access to only those specific sections.
I also want the ability to give users access to edit just one specific WordPress page.
Use an architecture that works well with plugins such as PublishPress Capabilities and PublishPress Permissions.

I was on LinkedIn earlier and saw your post for this video tutorial. As a Claude Pro subscriber and someone who has previously used Claude Design, Claude Desktop and the free version of Novamira to build a few good sites in Elementor Pro, your video quickly grabbed my attention.
As usual, Ferdy, your presentation is beautiful, engaging and very informative. I was really grabbed by the fact that I have the tools (I now have Novamira Pro) to easily develop fantastic-looking websites without page builders, etc and use Claude Code to build wonderful and effortless themes.
I spent longer than I had planned online tonight, as it’s currently 3.30 am here in the UK and I have two client meetings later this morning on Teams. Hopefully, I won’t look too washed out.
Anyway, I just want to thank you for another inspiring tutorial and for keeping me up all night. You have really stirred my creative juices, and sleep is the last thing on my mind, thanks to you, haha.
On a more personal note, your faith is obviously important to you, and you appear to get much peace from it. I sometimes wish I too had faith, but I’m too much a sinner for that, and I don’t think Jesus would want me as a sunbeam.
Thanks again, Ferdy.
