Every website needs a contact form. WPForms is the most beginner-friendly form plugin for WordPress, making it easy to create contact forms, survey forms, payment forms, and more — without writing a single line of code.
What Is WPForms?
WPForms is a drag-and-drop form builder plugin for WordPress. You start with a pre-built template, customise it by dragging fields into place, and embed the form anywhere on your website with a simple shortcode or block. It’s designed to be intuitive for beginners while being powerful enough for advanced users.
Key Features
- Drag-and-Drop Builder — Build forms visually without touching code.
- Pre-Built Templates — Start with contact forms, newsletter signups, quote requests, and more.
- Spam Protection — Built-in CAPTCHA and honeypot to block spam submissions.
- Email Notifications — Get notified instantly when someone submits a form.
- Confirmation Messages — Show a thank-you message or redirect to another page after submission.
- Mobile Responsive — All forms look great on any device.
Free vs Pro
The free WPForms Lite version handles standard contact forms perfectly. The Pro version adds file uploads, conditional logic, payment integrations (PayPal, Stripe), multi-page forms, and email marketing integrations. For a basic contact form, the free version is all you need.
Creating Your First Form
Install WPForms from Plugins → Add New, then go to WPForms → Add New. Choose the Simple Contact Form template, customise the fields, and click Save. Copy the shortcode or use the WPForms block to add it to any page. That’s it — your contact form is live and working in under 5 minutes.
WPForms is the easiest way to add professional forms to your WordPress website. Start with the free version and upgrade when your needs grow.
